Permits
Permits are required by the Borough of Adamstown for a number of projects which include but are not limited to the following: new building construction, additions, alterations, storage sheds, swimming pools, patios and decks, solicitations, signs and roadway excavations. Permits are currently not required for dumpsters, replacing roof shingles, replacing windows and fences. Please check with the borough office for current requirements and fees. When in doubt, please ask before starting a project.
Junk
There is a code that prohibits the unlicensed accumulation of cars, junk and rubbish on any property within the Borough of Adamstown. Contact the borough office for more details. Please contact the police department regarding abandoned vehicles parked on a public street (no license or inspection).
Complaints
The Borough of Adamstown has a policy whereby any complaint coming into the borough office must be in writing and signed by the person submitting the complaint. This policy is necessary to avoid getting the Borough involved in neighbor issues, as well as giving the Borough a written record should legal action be necessary. Names are kept confidential unless legal action is sought.

Trick-or-Treat
The Borough Council hereby establishes the Trick-or-Treat date and time as October 31, from 6:00PM and 8:00PM if good weather and November 1, from 6:00PM and 8:00PM if inclement weather on October 31.
